Faraday Cages 43 dB noise reduction

In many applications, the signal-to-noise ratio can be improved only with the use of a Faraday cage. A Faraday cage shields by suppressing the magnetic and electric parts of the electromagnetic waves due to high surface conductance and high permeability. Both a stand-alone cage for use with an anti-vibration table and a bench-top model are available. They are made of steel without the use of stainless steel or aluminum and painted blue. The walls are of rugged construction and consist of coated punched sheet metal. Both versions are of open-front design, but a front door can be provided on request. All instruments can be grounded at one central grounding point, which can be freely positioned by the user.

Stand-alone Faraday Cage

The stand-alone Faraday cage consists of two parts: the stand (lower part) and the cage (upper part), which are mounted together in the laboratory.

The height of the lower part is 80 cm (31.5 inch). A desk table, made of wood (standard) or steel, can be placed between the lower and upper parts. The shape of the table depends on your requirements. In accordance with the set-up and dimensions, a vibration-isolated table can be placed beneath the table without any contact with the cage.

The noise is reduced by 43 dB (bandwidth 3 kHz).

Bench-top Faraday Cage

For use on a laboratory bench, a one-part Faraday cage is available.

A bath made of steel is welded to the bottom of the cage.
