Standard Platinum Counter Electrode

SKU: AFCTR5 Category: Tag:

CHEMICAL INCOMPATIBILITIES: Some non-aqueous solvents may cause damage, leakage, or swelling to the epoxy tube and electrode.

This Standard Platinum Counter Electrode features a coiled platinum wire (99.99% pure) mounted at the end of a chemically-resistant epoxy rod.  A fritted glass tube isolates the counter electrode from the main test solution.  The glass tube is equipped with a PTFE adapter suitable for mounting the tube in a 14/20 port on our standard electrochemical cells.  Alternatively, the counter electrode may be removed from the glass tube and mounted directly in the electrochemical cell.

  • Pt wire OD = 0.5 mm; approximate surface area = 4.7 cm2
  • 6.9 mm OD x 150 mm epoxy tube shroud
  • Compatible with our standard electrochemical cells

See “Description” tab below for additional precautions and information.
