WaveDriver Mini-USB Cell Cable with Reference Electrode Pin Connection

SKU: ACP2E09 Category: Tags: ,

This special cell cable is typically used to connect a WaveDriver series potentiostat to a Pine Research Screen-Printed Electrode Cell or a Honeycomb Spectroelectrochemistry Cell. This cable is designed for those cases where a separate low-profile reference electrode with a “pin-and-socket” connection is being used.

See “Description” tab below for additional important details.

Description

This cell cable is typically used to connect a WaveDriver series potentiostat to an Pine Research Screen-Printed Electrode Cell. This cable is designed for those cases where a screen-printed electrode is being used in conjunction with a separate low-profile reference electrode with a “pin-and-socket” connection.

One end of this cable has a D-shell connector which connects to the cell port on the WaveDriver potentiostat. The other end of the cable terminates at both a mini-USB style plug and a separate (white) line with a socket. The mini-USB plug contains the working and counter electrode connections. The connection to the reference electrode is made by pushing the pin connector on the reference electrode into the socket on the separate white line.

When used with a Honeycomb Spectroelectrochemistry Cell, this cable allows a separate low-profile reference electrode to be used in the same cuvette as a honeycomb electrode card. The counter and working electrodes located on the honeycomb card are connected to the mini-USB plug. The pin on the reference electrode is pushed into the socket on the separate white line.

When used with a Screen-Printed Electrode Cell, connection to the counter and working electrodes located on the screen-printed electrode (SPE) is via the mini-USB plug. But connection to the separate low-profile reference electrode is made via the separate socket on the white line. When this particular cable is used in this manner, no connection is made to the reference electrode spot on the SPE itself.
